What is the Rickshaw run Sri Lanka?

The Lanka challenge is the ultimate rickshaw run Sri Lanka. You’ll get to enjoy 10 amazing days of driving around Sri Lanka in a rickshaw with one or two of your friends while taking part in various challenges as you roll along on a 1,000 kilometre journey through one of the most beautiful countries in the world. We’ll give you a lesson on how to handle your tuk tuk and set up the logistical stuff, like accommodations, but the rest will be up to you. Each morning, you’ll receive information regarding that day’s destination and the challenges for your team to accomplish along the way. The best part is, by taking part in charity challenge Sri Lanka, you’ll be helping us to make a positive difference in the world.

Okay, but why do this in a rickshaw?

If you’re going to take an epic road trip through Sri Lanka, the rickshaw challenge is the best way to do it. It’s a versatile vehicle that is durable, low-maintenance, and just plain fun to drive. Since you don’t have any pesky doors or windows getting in the way, the sights, smells, and sounds of the country are all around you to take in. Since this is a rickshaw challenge, that means adventure, which means no GPS. You’ll have the added challenge of navigating through the country as you drive past Buddhist ruins, local markets, and maybe an elephant or two.

Where will Rickshaw run Sri Lanka take me?

The southern route of our Lanka Challenge will have you rolling on your rickshaw through the tea fields of Kandy, the capital city of Colombo, Nuwaraeliya, and the ancient rock of Sigiriya. The northern route, on the other hand, the rickshaw challenge kicks off in the town of Minuwangoda in the western province of Sri Lanka. Then your team will take your rickshaw up through the city of Jaffna, which is teeming with breathtaking historical sites. The fascinating harbour town of Trincomalee and its ancient temples and gorgeous coastlines are just a few of the places you’ll pass through during Rickshaw run Sri Lanka.

This sounds incredible. Could it be any more incredible?

Of course it can. When you take part in the charity challenge Sri Lanka, you’re doing something meaningful for yourself, your team, and 10% of every dollar we make goes directly into grassroots organisations that make a positive difference in the world. From planting trees to providing aid to local schools, your participation in the Lanka Challenge not only gives you a ton of amazing stories to tell when you get back home, but is actually making the world a better place for everyone to be in. Not to mention that Sri Lanka is one of the best places for an adventure.
