The First Ever Tuk-Tuk Adventure in Italy Launches in 2023….and we do weekends as well!

Hey there Large Minority friends far and wide! 

For the first time ever, we have launched our epic Tuk-Tuk adventure in Italy. In fact, as far as we can tell, this has never been done before, by anyone!

Taking a group of the Italian version of the Tuk-Tuk, known as the Piaggio Apé, over 800km from Milan, up around northern Italy including Lake Como, the Barolo wine country and even a run along the Mediterranean coast. What an adventure!

We are now offering 2/3 day weekend adventures alongside our classic 9 day trip

So, why Italy?

Why do we even need to ask? Milan is one of the most iconic European cities located within touching distance of the Alps, the Italian lakes and the northern Italian wine regions, not to mention the ‘Temple of Speed, (Monza F1 circuit). This trip needs to go on your bucket list, now! It has everything from the charm of Milan, to the stunning Mediterranean coast. Italy presents the perfect location where taking a slow and picturesque tour by Tuk-Tuk can combine fun, adventure and great food with an element of cultural immersion using the classic three wheeler Apé.

9 day Adventure - How does it work?

Following a welcome dinner on the first night, the next morning is spent getting familiar with your steed for the next 9 days or so. Once everyone is happy to drive on, we take a trip around Milan to get you acquainted with the ‘rules’ of the road before heading north.

There then follows 8 days of the most exhilarating adventure of your life as you leave the city behind and head out into rural Italy, initially heading north to Lake Como and Bellagio. As the days go on you will feel the air getting warmer as you circle round and head south to the Mediterranean coast via the Barolo wine region travelling through rural countryside, stunning vineyards beautiful villages and towns en route, whilst sampling some of the finest food and wine available anywhere in Europe.

What about the tailor-made Tuk-Tuk Italian weekends?

For those short of time or need more flexibility with dates outside the set ones, Large Minority will also be offering the chance to book flexible durations as well as weekend breaks for either a two or three night Tuk-Tuk adventure. These Italy short breaks will be offered to friends, families and couples to join as teams of two in a unique self-drive Tuk-Tuk adventure around northern Italy.

The new trips depart from Milan and have a distinctly foodie theme where participants are invited to explore northern Italy over a weekend by yourselves. There are currently 2 route options, the first of which takes a leisurely loop from Milan up to Lake Como, and the second, from Milan to the Historic town of Bobbio, both covering and average distance of 120KMS per day. 

Participants will be supplied with a welcome pack with a map, t-shirt, phrase-book and navigational app for their journey.

The Italian weekend breaks start from £545 per person for a two night Tuk-Tuk adventure.
