Cambodia
Why is it so amazing?
Short answer: come and find out for yourself. Long answer: it’s like the country that South East Asia left behind. While Thailand and (to an extent) Vietnam are heaving with Bintang-singlet-wearing tourists, Cambodia has a way more laidback feel. Kind of like those countries 20 years ago. The history is also a big drawcard – not only do you have Khmer relics dotted through the jungle like the UNESCO wonder Angkor Wat, you’ve also got the tragic late 20th-century genocide, which still leaves its mark on Cambodian life. Basically: Phuket this is not.
Trip Tips
In the unfortunate event of a breakdown
Tuk-Tuks are unique vehicles that require careful handling and maintenance. While our team works tirelessly to ensure the safety and reliability of our fleet, it´s important to note that Tuk-Tuks are delicate machines that can experience mechanical issues or breakdowns due to improper handling or poor road conditions. We take great pride in providing our customers with an authentic and adventurous travel experience, and part of that experience is accepting the risks and challenges that come with driving a Tuk-Tuk. In the event that a Tuk-Tuk does experience mechanical issues you will have a mechanic on call and, depending on the nature of the breakdown, it may be the responsibility of the driver to repair the vehicle at their own expense. We understand that this may be an inconvenience, but we believe it is a fair price to pay for the thrill and excitement of Tuk-Tuk travel. So, if you´re ready to embark on a one-of-a-kind adventure, just remember to drive carefully, follow our safety guidelines, and embrace the challenges that come with this unique mode of transportation. After all, it´s all part of the adventure!

The Route
FAQs
Do I need any previous driving experience to drive a Tuk-Tuk?
No previous experience is required. We provide a full training session on Day 1, including hands-on driving practice and safety briefing. If you can drive a car and follow simple instructions, you can drive a tuk-tuk.
Is the Tuk-Tuk difficult to drive?
Not at all. Tuk-Tuks are lightweight, low-speed vehicles designed for easy handling. After a bit of practice, most travellers feel confident within 30 minutes. Our mechanic accompany you every day for ongoing support.
What is the accommodation like at the homestays?
Our homestays in Beng Mealea and Kampong Kleang are traditional Khmer houses run by local families. They’re simple, clean, safe, and community-focused — expect basic rooms, shared facilities, delicious home-cooked meals, and a warm welcome. These stays immerse you in real Cambodian life while directly supporting the host families.
How many people share a Tuk-Tuk?
This depends on who you are travelling with. Each Tuk-Tuk can have 1, 2 or 3 people, forming a “team.” You can swap driving as often as you like.
What type of support do we have during the trip?
You’re fully supported every day. A local Tuk-Tuk mechanic travel close by. When there are 2+ teams a support minivan follows behind to take your luggage. Their job is to assist with navigation, roadside issues, language barriers, and anything else you need.
What meals are included?
Breakfast and dinner are included each day. Lunches are not included to give you flexibility — there are plenty of great local spots along the route, and our guide is always happy to recommend favourites.
What kind of roads will we be driving on?
Expect a mix of quiet rural roads, countryside tracks, village lanes, and smooth tarmac. The route is designed for beginner drivers and focuses on low-traffic areas, scenic backroads, and culturally rich landscapes.
