Overview

Overview

Around 700km of Cambodia, and you drive every one of them. This supported self-drive adventure starts in Siem Reap under the shadow of Angkor Wat and finishes nine days later in Phnom Penh. Teams of 2–3 (solo travellers welcome) each take their own Tuk-Tuk. You navigate by road map and a daily challenge sheet, earning points rather than racing, with a mechanic and support crew behind you all the way.

You start with two days among the temples of Angkor: Angkor Wat, Bayon and jungle-swallowed Ta Prohm. Then you head into the countryside to the ruins of Beng Mealea and Koh Ker’s jungle pyramid. From there it’s north to the Mekong at Stung Treng and south along the river to Kratie, with a full rest day on Koh Trong island. Last comes Kampong Cham’s colonial riverfront, and the finish and awards dinner in Phnom Penh.
