Nicaragua Tuk-Tuk Adventure - February 2027
Location: Nicaragua
Duration: 10 Days
From: $2,880
Overview
Overview
This trip is a 10-day self-drive Tuk-Tuk loop through Nicaragua, starting and ending on the shores of Lake Nicaragua in the colonial city of Granada. Teams drive their own Tuk-Tuks through picturesque, generally flat countryside, passing towering volcanoes, crater lakes, and Pacific beaches, with support from a mechanic, permits, and a luggage truck along the way. Roads are largely straight and quiet outside the major cities.
The route runs from Laguna de Apoyo to Granada, then out to the Pacific coast for a beach rest day at the surf town of Popoyo, before a ferry crossing to Ometepe Island, home to the twin volcanoes Maderas and Concepción and an optional steep hike to the summit of one. From there it continues to a second beach stop at San Juan del Sur before the final leg back to Granada for a celebratory close.
